This fall is election season, you may have seen the federal elections signs dotting your streets, but did
you know about the CUPE 2195 Officers elections? Both are key opportunities to engage, become involved, and to have impact on your employment.

On Wednesday October 7th, 2015, CUPE 2195 will be accepting nominations for this year’s officers elections, along with our regular union business. Nominations will only be accepted at the meeting. If a nominee is unable to attend, a signed letter from the nominee accepting the nomination must be provided to the Recording Secretary before noon on Wednesday October 7th, 2015. And here is the extravaganza part. At the general meeting we also be welcoming a CUPE Ontario representative to speak about the upcoming federal elections and how the parties platforms support (or don’t) our union members interests. As you may know, at the most recent CUPE national and Ontario conventions, delegates from all sectors and regions gave CUPE the mandate to do everything they can to elect and NDP government on October 19th. So weather you agree or not come check it out, and bring your questions 🙂
