Hello Fellow Workers!
Happy New Year! 2016 has been a year to remember within our local, and around the world. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all our members.
Thank you.
Thank you for the work you do, day in, and day out for the youth and families in our communities. Thank you for the work you do supporting each other through this labor of the heart. You are an inspiration.
I especially wanted to take a moment to thank our stewards. As our local becomes more engaged we see the stewards stepping up, connecting us all together through the good and the difficult times. This year we say our first Steward elections in quite a while, a sign of a healthy democracy. I want to say thank you to outgoing stewards Steve and Dan. Thank you for your services, for your engagement, attendance at meetings and for being a voice for the members. I also want to say welcome to the new stewards joining the crew! Wendy, Nora, Mathieu, and Melissa I look forward to seeing you at meetings and working with you to support our fellow workers and in making the local stronger.
Reminder: Our next General Meeting is Jan 11th, not Jan 4th. Still at the 1378 Triole Location.

The December General Meeting is our Biannual Social. The meeting will be held at the Clocktower Pub, 418 Richmond Rd. 6pm. The local picks up the tab for food. Please sign up here so we can get a sense of how much food to order.
