Local 2195 Donates to Legion 641

This Remembrance Day, CUPE Local 2195 made a $500 donation to the Barrhaven Legion 641 in honour of Canadian soldiers who have and continue to fight for our country.

The Act of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
We will remember them.

 Steven Boucher (Treasurer Local 2195) and Stephane Guy, President of the Barrhaven Legion 641

November GMM and Remembrance Day

Our next GMM is this Wednesday, November 3rd at 12pm.

We hope you can join us this Wednesday for our monthly GMM via Zoom. As always, the link will be sent the morning of the meeting. Please feel free to respond to the Recording-Secretary with any areas of concern that you would like discussed at the meeting.

Furthermore, we will be hosting a short zoom on November 11th from 11am to 11:15am, in order to offer members a space to hold a moment of silence at 11:11am in solidarity for our fallen soldiers. If anyone would like to share a story or an image of a loved one during this time, please let me know by responding to the Recording-Secretary and we’ll ensure you have a space to do so. A zoom link will be sent the morning of November 11th.

In Solidarity,
